Encouraging our creative inner child to come out and play

Embracing your inner child

Think of your best childhood memories around creativity. What did you love doing? Painting? Dancing?Singing?Crochet/Knitting?Baking?Photography? Tap into the memory of how it felt to create just for the fun of it

Now try to remember when creativity stopped being fun for you.

Comparison is the thief of joy!

At some point most of us suppressed our natural creative expression, generally because of comparison or due to a comment someone made judging our creative expression against that of another.

Don’t compare yourself to others. There is no comparison between the sun and the moon. They shine in their own time.

We often stop short of expressing ourselves fully, preferring to follow the current trends for fear of “making a mistake”or being the tall poppy, standing out in the crowd.

But isn’t that the whole point in creating a true home in which we feel comfortable and supported – to create a space that fully reflects who we are as individuals & developing a very tangible relationship with and connection to our surroundings?

Artistic Freedom

Artistic freedom comes from realising that you can’t make a mistake. There is only one of you here! Only you can know how to express who you are in this world.

Stimulate all of your senses to awaken your creativity

Our sensory organs of taste, smell, touch, sight and hearing connect us to our surroundings, informing how we feel. Think of fragrant blossoms, glistening ponds, delicious desserts and melodious music. Each has the ability  to enhance this energy of creativity within us, stimulating our creative juices and allowing creativity to flow in every form.
