The year of the wood snake begins on January 29th 2025

On January 29th, the lunar new year, the energy for 2024 recedes and the new energy of 2025 begins to burst into being.

We say goodbye to the wood dragon energy of 2024 which was yang wood and brought with it the full force of SPRING and the possibility to nurture the growth of our deepest dreams

We invite in the energy of the wood snake which is yin wood and has a theme of introspection, intuition, re-evaluation and personal growth. This is a year when we are invited to develop a deeper connection to sprit/angel guides/protective influences and other worlds/realms. 

The wood snake is enigmatic, admired for its unruffled appearance, unwavering principles and compassionate heart. 

This year will be about hard work, deep inner work, calmness and introspection. The advice for this year is to spend more time being quiet and still tuning out distractions. Leaving aside devices in favour of more time spent in quietude. 

In the year of the wood snake, we are invited to balance the challenges we face with joyful experiences. It promises to be  a year full of opportunities. A good year to break new ground in our personal lives. 

The snake is often associated with renewal as it sheds it skin regularly leaving behind what no longer serves and begininning again in a new skin. As such snake years invite us to shed what no longer serves us in our lives so that we can continue through this time of transition refreshed and renewed.
