Heart Resonance Diffuser Blend for the Summer Solstice

For this blend to connect to heart resonance energy at the fiery heart of the year – the Summer Solstice, I have chosen the following three oils:-
Basil ct Linalool (Ocimum Basilicum ct Linalool)
Key words we can associate with this wonderfully fragrant essential oil are: Release and Relax
Its Scent is : Herbaceous, sweet and softly floral with a mild anise undertone and faint woody note. A true scent of summer, it carries with it the ripe essence of summer sun being distilled from the verdant green leaves and delicate flowers of this unassuming little plant.
Actions: Allows the body to let go, breaks through stagnation. It teaches us to reach toward the light while staying rooted. Encourages mental clarity and strength of purpose. Helps break the tension loop, restoring emotional balance.
Note: Top from leaf and flower. Its scent rises from the bottle, just as the scent rises from the leaves of the plant when we brush past it.
Chakra affinity: Throat chakra; our communication centre, from which we flow our energy into the world.
Basil teaches us that there is great power in softness. Clarity and stability can be found when we connect in stillness to the great No-Thing-Ness.
Palmarosa (cymbopogon Martinii var Motia)
Key words we can associate with Palmarosa are: Release and Restore
Its Scent is : Sweet (almost fruity), Herbaceous, Rosey- it has a strong rose dry-out after a few hours.
Actions: Helps us relax and not feel defensive, encourages both flow and containment, it supports adaptability and a sense of security.
Palmarosa carries the wisdom of the Heart, reminding us that softness and strength can coexist. It allows us to gracefully return to ourselves.
Note: Middle or heart note distilled from its verdant grassy leaves. Middle notes provide the “heart” of the blend, holding the other notes together in harmony.
Chakra affinity: Heart; our centre for love, self-love, compassion and forgiveness and the Solar Plexus; our centre for moving energy out into the world, connected with will-power and our ability to follow-through into action.
Palmarosa is reassuring and peaceful, with a sweetness that seems to radiate through the heart and mind – Andrea Butje
Frankincense (Boswellia Sacra)
As opposed to Frankincense Carterii – this is another more rare resin from the frankincense family, produced largely in Oman.
Key words we can associate with Frankincense Sacra are: Steadying, quieting, grounding and supportive
Its Scent is: Sweet, deep, warm and slightly pungent aroma with a hint of bright lemon-pine due to the unique chemistry of this particular frankincense from Oman.
Actions: This oil is profoundly centering, elevating and clarifying. Excellent for use in Sacred Ritual- it is said to symbolise purification and Divine presence. Excellent when the mind feels overloaded or restless. it is grounding and opening for the breath.
Note: Base oil which is distilled from the Resin/Gum. Its scent is deep and resonant and lingers longer than the other lighter notes in the blend.
Chakra affinity: Frankincense Sacra is very much attuned to the Heart Chakra; our centre for love, self-love, compassion and forgiveness.
In general Frankincense resin oils have an affinity with the Root or base chakra which is our foundation and stability, Solar Plexus: our centre for moving energy out into the world, connected with will-power and our ability to follow-through into action, Throat; our communication centre, from which we flow our energy into the world Third eye, which is our centre for clarity, intuition and insight and our Crown chakra which opens our connection to to Source and the Divine.
Frankincense Sacra is profoundly centering, elevating and clarifying. It restores composure, emotional clarity and sacred connection. It helps widen our inner landscape when life feels “too tight”.

- Simply gently diffuse in a cold air diffuser. Scent is deeply personal so it is important to find essential oils that resonate with positive memories for you, if for any reason you experience discomfort when diffusing an oil, stop using it. Listen to your body. This may not be the oil for you at this time.
- Always use essential oils responsibly, safely and with respect for these remarkable plant allies and the strength of their powerfully healing energy.
