Sunshine Diffuser Blend – A burst of Fragrant Chi

A bright citrus blend for uplifting, refreshing energy. Encouraging a cheerful, open atmosphere — ideal as we spring into Summer!

  • Orange (citrus sinesis) Bright and uplifting, oranges warm sunny sweet aroma infuses joy into a space, unblocks and circulates stagnant energy and calms tension when we feel overwhelmed. It encourages a gentle return to a sense of joy and ease.
  • Lime (Citrus Aurantifolia) Vibrant, bright and effervescent, its scent reignites the senses, charging the body with renewed energy. Its sparkling energy sharpens the mind. Lime uplifts the spirit, and promotes a positive, excited outlook, energising the soul.
  • Grapefruit (Citrus Paradisi) Highly energetic, uplifting and cleansing, its scent exudes happy, expansive energy. Cutting through procrastination, it adds a burst of “sunshine” to our environment. It lifts heaviness and brings light to mind and body, inviting a brighter rhythm to our day.

 Directions:

    • 1. Fill your diffuser reservoir with water to the indicated fill line.
    • 2. Add the essential oils.
    • 3. Diffuse in a well-ventilated area for 5–15 minutes every hour, or as desired.
    • You can substitute any other citrus oils you have a preference for eg: Yuzu or Mandarin.
    • Or add a drop or two of Lavender if you feel you need more balance or a nervous system reset.
    • Spend a little time with each oil and connect to which oils give you a greater sense of uplift or balance and use those.

One thing I like to do when I use diffuser blends is to put the essential oils in my diffuser, then simply allow myself to breathe and experience the aroma for a few moments. It’s a lovely practice to take time to enjoy our essential oils before going on to the next task!

This blend offers a higher number of drops than generally recommended. It is designed for use in short sessions as a “system interrupt” lifting our chi and inviting in  bright, positive “sunshine” energy into our day.

Safety Note: Minimum safe age for this blend is 2. Ensure the room is ventilated and pets can leave if they wish. All oils here are considered safe for diffusion; avoid topical use in sunlight due to phototoxicity of grapefruit and lime if they are cold pressed (I generally use distilled lime, which is not phototoxic).

NB Citrus oils oxidise more easily than many other types of oil. Store all oils in a cool, dark environment and take note of recommended shelf life for all essential oils.
