Dispersing essential oils for balance and wellness

Pure aromatherapy diffuser blend for balance

A wonderful diffuser blend which will uplift your energy, filling your space with zesty fresh chi in the process.

  • 4 drops Orange (citrus sinesis) whose warm sunny sweet aroma infuses joy into a space, unblocks and circulates stagnant energy and calms tension when we feel overwhelmed. It is considered to be immune supportive and an airborn anti-microbial.
  • 4 drops Lavender (lavendula angustifolia) the “mother of essential oils” which is considered to be a floral “rescue remedy” encouraging balance while reducing fear and anxiety. It has been described as “a crisis smoother” (herbalist Peter Holmes). It is balancing and immune supportive.
  • 1 drop Peppermint (Mentha x piperita) it is said to help us to open up and breathe more deeply, calming our energy in the process. It is said to clear negativity and invigorate our vital chi as we inhale it. (Peppermint oil is very diffusive, a little goes a long way)Gently diffuse in a cold air diffuser of your choice. En-joy!

    NB Scent is deeply personal so it is important to find essential oils that resonate with positive memories for you. In general the citrus oils are wonderful to provide uplift.

Spray mist alternative

If you prefer to use a spray misting bottle instead of a diffuser you can add this blend of oils to 90 ml of  lavender hyrosol or distilled water in a 100ml spray bottle (to increase the quantity of essential oils in this case: multiply the blend given to suit your spray mist bottle size adding up to 50 drops essential oil total in 100ml carrier, with 200 drops of a solubolising solution to blend the oil and water thoroughly)

Shake well each time before spraying.

Water based solutions do not have a preservative and will last 2-3 weeks maximum.

Store your spray bottle out of direct sunlight in a cool dark place to avoid oxidation as essential oils are very sensetive to heat and light. Do not spray onto highly polished surfaces and be mindful of the safety recommendations below.



NB Treat essential oils as medicine

  • They are highly concentrated pure extracts from the plant world (it takes a huge amount of plant material to make just a few drops of essential oil).
  • If at any time you feel any discomfort from diffusing any of these oils, stop at once.
  • It is always a good idea to test if any oil is ok for you: open the cap and hold just the cap at a distance sniffing the air – if you feel any constriction in your breathing, then this oil is not for you.
  • Small animals and young babies and those with compromised immune systems need to be treated with extra care.
  • Diffuse oils at a safe distance in a well ventilated space.
  • Allow for small animals to be able to leave the room if they wish to do so – remember their sense of smell is much more intense than ours so care needs to be taken not to overwhelm their system.
  • Start with a half strength diffuser blend if in doubt and work from there.
  • You will only need 8-10 drops total to fill your space with their beautiful scent.
  • Diffuse for 20 mts at a time for best effect.
