Balance at the mid point of the year with feng shui design

Feng shui design seeks to bring us into balance with  the rhythm and harmony of mother nature.

There are many systems within feng shui which seek to tap into the natural dynamic balance found in nature so that we can go with the flow rather than feeling we are swimming against the tide.

One such system is 9 star ki: Each year over a cycle of 9 years our personal energy and the “global energy” which impacts all of us, subtly changes as we move through the different energetic shifts annually.

The year for this purpose begins at February 4th. We each have our own energetic signature which we can tap into for individual support. (see 9 star ki on-demand online course to learn more)

The global shift is felt by all of us and we can make some feng shui adjustments in our homes to maintain our sense of balance and equilibrium as we move through this cycle of dynamic or moving balance.

Feng shui for balance at the centre of our homes/workspaces for 2025

The central core of our spaces represent health, unity and balance in our lives in feng shui. Like the central core of a wheel this space radiates balance and harmony to all areas of our built spaces and into all areas of our lives as a result. The Tai Chi is like the open palm of a hand ready to give and recieve and it is important to keep this space free from clutter and to keep its energy feeling vibrant and fresh, radiating a sense of well being.

This year from Feb 4th 2025 to February 4th 2026,  the “2-star” is at the centre of this system for this year. Without complicating things too much here, this means there is a double “earth star” at the centre of our spaces. Earth is grounding yes, but an overabundance of  earth can leave us feeling “stuck in the mud” or stagnated in some ways.

In order to to balance for this we can introduce a small “metal” enhancment to the centre of our homes for this year in the form of a bell, a singing bowl or some “ting bells”. As you pass through the centre of your home daily, you are invited to sound the bell, allowing the sound to resonate at the centre of your living/working space. Visualise the sound waves as they vibrate out from the centre of your space, dispersing any sense of heaviness or stuckness there.

Hold your intention in mind as you do this.

And so it is…
