Finding Balance in Turbulent Times

In our June spotlight gathering we focused on coming into balance within ourselves and then radiating this out into our built spaces. Creating a Heart Centered Home. Actually this could be a theme for this whole year globally!

I know I have been really leaning in to all of my trainings in complimentary health therapies, herb-craft, aromatherapy and feng shui to find ways to integrate this sense of returning to and reconnecting with my own sense of inner balance on a daily basis. Even moment to moment has often felt appropriate!

Integration

My word for this year has been “Integration”. Time and again I am reminded that we have all that we need within us. We simply need to be still for long enough to listen inward and allow ourselves to be guided by our own innate wisdom.

I feel incredibly blessed to have been held and supported and guided on my journey thus far. As I look back each and every step of my life path has brought me all I need to navigate my journey. Most especially in the past two years when “as if by magic” with Divine Timing the most incredible teachers, healthcare practitioners, doctors and surgeons assembled in my path to restore me to balance of body, mind and spirit.

Intuition

Intuition comes in the integration of pure intelligence and pure love. This is a mystical union which happens in the deepest cave of the heart.”- Jaya Moran (Jaya Alchemy Cards)

Finding our “way in” to the stillness is the key. Whether that is through meditation, mindfulness practice, journalling, Shamanic journeying or simply sitting or standing barefoot on the earth while listening inward. One of my first feng shui teachers William Spear, referred to this reconnection to our intuition as “recovering our original ability”.

At this mid point of the year, we are invited to focus on our own centre – our heart chakra. The centre for love and compassion for ourselves and for others. At our heart centre we can bathe and rejuvenate ourselves in the ocean of love which is available to us. We do this by opening ourselves up to all possibility.

Balance

The centre of our homes in feng shui represents balance, stability, openness  and our willingness to be available, ready and willing to absorb whatever wants to pour into our lives.

Adding some gentle space clearing elements to this space for this year, reminds us to be vigilant in keeping this area light, clear and vibrant in its chi. For example, a bowl of sea-salt with some dried herbs such as thyme and lavender; a bell to clear the vibration of the space keeping it crystal clear and fresh; an aromatherapy mist to fill the air with cleansing and uplifting energy from the plant kingdom.

This year the 1 water star is “visiting” the centre of our homes. The nature of KAN (the trigram for water) is forward movement, vitality, adaptability, sleep, rest, fluidity and courage. The flip side of this coin is fear, coldness, confusion, isolation, adversity and obstacles.

The invitation is clear: accept that we will indeed encounter obstacles along the way, but when we allow ourselves time to rest and recenter ourselves sufficiently we can be flexible and adaptable in our movements. This allows us to meet each day with grace and a sense of deep inner peace and patience.

Tuning into our heart resonance, allowing our breathing and our internal rhythms to slow into a synchronous steady pace we can then honour every situation we encounter from a place of stability and balance.
