RECIPE
2 drops Lemon (citrus limon) Top Note
Fresh and crisp, lemon is excellent when feeling sluggish or stuck in a rut. Said to stimulate our immune system, it sharpens our focus, clarifies and uplifts.
It brings in the joyful, happy expansive energy of sunshine and boosts self-esteem.
Lemon is uplifting and anti-depressant, it is said to expand our energy, promoting a sense of opening up to possibilities.
It is said to be especially helpful when we fall into the “victim” role, feeling put-upon or hard-done-by, or when we feel we have been “sucked into the drama” of whatever is going on. Lemon gives the opportunity to release and makes space for more joy!
2 drops German Chamomile (matriarca recutita) Middle-base note
This essential oil has been treasured throughout history.
Dedicated to the sun god RA in ancient Egypt, it has an association with the solar plexus chakra, at our central core — our “gut-reaction” centre and centre for manifestation.
Associated with our needs and desires, our ability to control and nurture, it has a strong association with self-worth. Being both grounding and cooling, chamomile is said to take the heat out of situations, soothing away tensions and supporting rest and relaxation.
It allows for new growth and the blossoming of our potential. It promotes compassion, empathy and gentleness with ourselves and with others, allowing us to feel openhearted, forgiving, trustful and accepted. It is said to nurture the soul and bring joy to the heart. Its scent is sweet and dry with an apple-like tinge, chamomile is both warming and calming and offers support in times of difficulty.
4 drops Frankincense (boswellia carterii) Base Note
The name comes from the old French word “franc” meaning free or pure and the Latin word “incensum” meaning to kindle.
It encourages healing on all levels, is grounding and supportive, and restores our energy levels. It enhances health and wellbeing and supports our immune system.
Breathing in its aroma supports deeper breathing which calms the nervous system and is restorative, allowing us to connect to spirit and our inner reserves of strength and healing.
It has been used throughout the ages to support meditation to quiet and centre the mind.
Diffuse this blend when you feel the need for more balance at your centre.
