Welcome June!
Celebrating balance and the manifestation of many blessings at the most expansive and active phase in the cycle of the sun.

Feng Shui Balance
At the mid-point of the year we stop and assess what we have achieved in the past 6 months and how we are in terms of our personal energy. From this point of the year at its most expansive phase, we begin to look forward to the contracting phase of the year, when we turn our energy inward.
Balance at the centre of our spaces
The central core of our living and working spaces is acknowledged as the space representing balance and unity. Like the centre of a wheel, this central core is necessary to support stability and balance.
To feel truly healthy we must have a sense of being in balance in all areas of our lives integrating (making whole) all aspects of our selves.
We must love and accept all aspects of ourselves in order to feel whole and in balance.
Honouring:
- Our need to be in relationship and our need to be alone and have time and space for reflection
- Our need to feel abundant and blessed and our need to share with and be supportive of others,
- Our need to be creative and our need to belong to our family/tribe/community,
- Our need to have a sense of movement and our need to be seen and acknowledged
Take a look at the centre of your home – the Tai Chi
Also known as the health or unity area; this is strongly associated with the earth element and our core sense of stability and balance.
In feng shui it is recommended to make space at the centre of our homes for lightness- like the open palm of a hand ready to give and receive. The Tai Chi or centre is said to contain everything and nothing.
Making space for new possibilities to emerge
The centre represents the balancing point between the phases of expansion and contraction in our lives thus providing us with a sense of grounding and “centering” a still-point to resettle our energy before we begin again. This is the space where we breathe in “new possibilities”.
In traditional forms of architecture this area would bring together complementary aspects from outside often in the form of a small garden or atrium.
To replicate this sense of openness in our modern homes it is recommended that we:-
- Keep this central core of your living space free from clutter
- Avoid placing heavy furniture here which is difficult for energy to move around.
- Introduce some bright lighting and uplifting arwork to encourage a sense of lightness here
