Wishing you a very blessed Nollaig na mBan – celebrating all of the wonderful women in our lives.

nollaig na mbann womens christmas, celebrating our connection with the women in our lives

Nollaig na Mban

our traditional day to celebrate the women in our lives

On the 6th of January we celebrate Nollaig na mBan. This was always a big date to celebrate in our house, my mother always said that every other day of the year was “mens Christmas” :o)

Traditionally the 6th of January was the day when the women finally got to put their feet up and relax after the hustle and bustle of Christmas.

Still today it is very common for women in Ireland to meet up and have a bite to eat and celebrate each other. This is just what I plan to do

So for the 6th of January I wish you all a very Happy Women’s Christmas.

A day to celebrate all of the wonderful women in our lives past and present who have shaped our world and our selves in so many ways.

Wishing you all much love, light and laughter as you celebrate Nollaig na mBan.

Honouring The Divine Feminine

In feng shui we associate the Divine Feminine archetype as mother earth.

Celebrating our connection to mother earth opens us up to giving and receiving love, nurturing and compassion in all areas of our lives.

The I Ching symbol for mother earth is KUN represented by three broken yin lines.

It is known as “the receptive”, whose energy includes:

  • elegance
  • surrender
  • devotion
  • support
  • adaptability
  • unconditional love and kindness
  • grounding, anchoring energy.

What wonderful energy to celebrate in ourselves and in those around us!
