AUTUMN IS HERE!
It seems that the Autumn Equinox on the 22nd September brought Autumn in with a flourish!
Almost immediately the weather turned cooler and the winds became stronger. We are now fully in the “root” energy phase of the year. Contracting and condensing, cutting away what no longer serves. In Feng Shui we associate this with metal energy.
METAL PHASE OF THE YEAR
Metal energy in feng shui is associated with the life areas of helpful friends, guides, mentors and with creativity.
All around us Mother Nature is letting go of this years growth, dropping her leaves and fruit. She has produced her harvest and is now shedding what is no longer required as she pulls her energy in and down into her root system.
TAPPING IN TO OUR INNER WISDOM
This is our time to do the same. Let go, clear out and release what we no longer require. Simplify. The outdoor phase of the year is coming to an end and we will now spend longer hours indoors. This allows us to focus our attention and intention to our inner realms. Tapping in to our inner wisdom.
In Autumn we get to look back at the year so far and connect to our gratitude for all that we have “harvested” so far. Ruminating on our achievements and lessons allows us to begin to sow the seeds for what we would like to invite in for the rest of this year and for next year.
HAVE A CLEAR OUT/RE-ORGANISE
As the weather changes we can take a look at our wardrobe and have a clear out, reorganising things so that what is front and centre can carry us through the darker colder months of the year.
TIME FOR CREATIVITY
Autumn is often the time when we take up new or well loved creative pursuits. Focusing on creativity we open ourselves up to our innate ability to manifest the new into being. Tapping in to the everyday magic of producing something which never existed before. Whether that is a loaf of bread or a piece of artwork doesn’t matter.
Becoming childlike and tapping in to what would bring you the most joy to engage in is key. It could be a dance or art class, delving in to making your own natural cleaning or body care products, coming up with an aromatherapy diffuser blend or some other creative pursuit which speaks to your heart. There are lots of ideas for making your own natural cleaning and body care products and aromatherapy blends in my Hay House Award Winning book: A Place to call Home. https://fengshuidesign.ie/product/a-place-to-call-home-feng-shui-design-guidebook/
