Oestre/Ostara was the Germanic goddess of Springtime, who heralded the new growth of Spring 

We still use the symbols associated with this celebration of new life in the Christian celebration of Easter (even the root of this word is Oestre)

This is a celebration of renewal and rebirth. A time when we are invited to reflect on the plans we are now hatching and manifesting into being for the year ahead. 

Easter is our “wake-up call”

Easter invites us to “wake up” to whatever is ready to blossom in our lives (big or small) it doesn’t have to be a grand sweeping change, it can simply be a small personal creative project that you are feeling called to complete. Perhaps planting some seedlings, refreshing your planters, adding some spring colour in decor, spring flowers or Easter decorations.

Feng shui for 2025 to enhance this energy of new beginnings

In Feng shui the area of our homes which we associate with this energy is the East, the area associated with family, rooted growth and new beginnings. Honouring this energy in our homes supports our own growth and development in our lives. 

This year it is considered very auspicious to add a small amount of the colour purple in this part of our homes to enhance the energy of abundance and blessings in our lives. This might be a piece of amethyst crystal or some purple flowers, for example.
