Balance and Belonging at the Autumn Equinox

The Autumn Equiox is traditionally a time to celebrate what we have “harvested” this year.
We are now leaving behind the yang/growing/busy phase of the year and now is the time to give thanks and to restore balance.
At the equinox the hours of day and night are equal all around the world. This tipping point of the year offers a moment to gain some clarity on what “seeds” we may wish to plant or intentions we may wish to set for the future.
From now on the days will become markedly shorter, becoming more YIN, offering us more opportunites to reflect and to connect to our inner world.
The equinox is a time for reconciling opposites. Everything coexists together we need both yin and yang both the seeen andunseen worlds to feel whole.
We honour this time of change and transition which offers a chance to reset our energy and begin again. We are now entering the “root” phase of the year when we tap into the earths energy as we transition into winter.
We are now entering a natural phase of rest and renewal, balancing our inner and outer journeys.
This is a time to connect, tuning inwards to ask for guidance, remaining open to inner change and to set our intentions, connecting to our inner wisdom.
Questions to ask ourselves at this point of transition:-
What is falling away within you?
What has come to fruition?
What is now complete?
What can I now gather in?
What did I learn from this years experiences?
Where would I like to feel more in balance?
Take some time at the equinox to journal and meditate on these questions as we move into the yin/inwardly focused phase of this year
