Clearing space to release and receive

In feng shui we talk a lot about the importance of clearing clutter in releasing what we no longer want in our lives to make space for more of what we do.

This applies to physical clutter which can amount to visual “noise” distracting us from what we really want to be doing. It also speaks to actually clearing time in our never ending “to do list” for those things which bring us joy.

I invite you to block out just 10 minutes a day to do something you love. Think about that. What does that look like for you? More importantly what does it feel like?

Making these incremental “course corrections” every day brings us into alignment with our true purpose – to enjoy this one precious life we are living.

Living life creatively, doing those things that bring us joy every day (even if its for just 10 minutes)  makes us feel child-like – thats where the magic lies!

Take a look at the “creativity” area of the bagua for your home. This is the energy template we use in feng shui to remind us of the direct energetic connection between us and our built spaces. We are not separate. We can inspire positive change in our lives by placing our much loved things with intention in specific spaces within our homes.

When you look at this space in your home, ask yourself – how does it make me feel? Ideally this will be a space that inspires all of your senses. Including our favourite artwork, beautiful natural scents, tactile materials, glistening decorative elements which bring us a sense of luxury, will get our creative juices flowing and inspire us to be more childlike and open to new possibilities in our lives.

What are you drawn to lean into doing more of today? What feels joyful  – do that for 10 minutes – Just for the fun of it!

en-joy!
